ORANGE ST Steerable reserve parachute, Ultra light rogallo
Background:
It’s one thing to avoid a crash. It’s quite another to do so and steer. After hundreds of drops we developed the ORANGE ST which is not necessarily the lightest but certainly the most steerable reserve parachute. In a small it weighs only 1.6 kg and allows for suspended weights of up to 110 kg.
The ORANGE ST allows ambitious pilots to sink in a controlled way and avoid having to land in trees, power cables or on houses. The biggest safety plus point is not just the steerability: The ORANGE ST opens more quickly than round canopies. This is due to the special fir-tree like folding and laying techniques which ensure that the canopy inflates efficiently. Therefore the rogallo wings help recover an advantage even when it is deployed very late.
Fine materials, such as Dyneema lines or the flameproof threading of the attachments mean the canopy is unrivalled in its light weight. All of the materials used come from the European Union. Our reserve systems are made at our production centre in Croatia.
Intended use:
The ORANGE ST is recommended for all pilots who want to be able steer and have quick opening times.
A glide angle ratio of one and a half to two is enough to head for a safe landing spot and to avoid obstacles.
An important safety plus pointparticularly for cross-country and acro pilots.
TEAM FIVE – We keep you safe
Features:

- no swinging
- high likelihood of opening if the canopy gets tangled
- low sinking – the reserve parachute doesn’t just brake, it flies
- The canopy is braked and firstly flies forwards after the brakes have been applied
- small when packed away
- Low weight thanks to the use of Dyneema lines and uncoated 27 gram fabric
- easy to pack
